Job summary
Jacobs is seeking a Preconstruction Manager - Electrical to bridge engineering design and on-site construction for major industrial projects, including data centers. The role requires coordinating across internal teams and external contractors to develop complete bid packages and ensure constructability.
You will guide design reviews, sequence construction activities, and help secure early contractor engagement to optimize schedule and cost.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent construction experience.
- Extensive experience in electrical engineering or construction management for industrial projects.
- Strong understanding of construction means, methods, codes and standards.
- Experience interpreting electrical drawings for construction purposes.
Responsibilities
- Lead and resolve constructability concerns and engineering interpretations.
- Identify schedule and cost-savings opportunities from design and modularization.
- Engage trade partners early in design phase for construction input.
- Coordinate cross-discipline evaluation of electrical scope against sequencing.
- Identify risks for long-lead activities and align with schedules.
