Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an experienced Preconstruction Manager - Electrical to bridge design and construction for major industrial projects, including data centers. You will coordinate with internal teams and contractors to develop complete bid packages and ensure constructability and sequencing are optimized on site.

The role requires leadership in design reviews, opportunities for schedule and cost savings, and engagement with trade partners. Up to 50% travel is anticipated; base near a U.S.

Qualifications

• 8+ years experience in electrical engineering or 15+ years in industrial construction management.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent construction experience.
• General understanding of construction means, methods, codes and standards.
• Experience interpreting electrical design drawings for construction.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership resolving design and constructability concerns in engineering drawings and specs.
• Identify schedule and cost savings opportunities based on existing design or modularization.
• Identify trade partners for early contractor engagement during design phase.
• Organize cross-discipline evaluation of electrical scope for sequencing and build-out.
• Assess risks for long-lead construction activities and align with schedule.
