Job summary

Jacobs seeks an experienced Preconstruction Manager - Electrical to bridge engineering design and construction for major industrial projects. You will coordinate with internal teams and contractors to develop bid packages ensuring full scope coverage and constructability insights.

Required: 8+ years in electrical engineering or 15+ years in construction management; a bachelor’s degree and strong communication. Expect up to 50% travel across US sites; onsite workplace with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 8+ years experience in Electrical engineering or 15+ years in construction mgmt for industrial projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent construction experience.
• General understanding of construction means, methods, codes and standards.
• Experience interpreting electrical design drawings for construction purposes.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership resolving in-progress design and constructability concerns.
• Identify schedule and cost savings opportunities from design or modularization.
• Engage trade partners early in design phase.
• Organize cross-discipline evaluation of electrical scope for sequencing.
• Identify risks for long lead construction activities and align with schedules.
• Develop and review construction bid packages for contractor award.
• Coordinate work breakdown structure across stakeholders.
• Review Vendor Data Requirement submittals for constructability and impact.
