Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a hands-on Preconstruction Manager - Electrical to bridge engineering design and construction for major industrial projects. The role coordinates with internal teams and contractors to develop electrical bid packages and ensure constructability and sequencing are optimized onsite.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent construction experience.
• Strong understanding of electrical design and construction standards.
• Experience interpreting electrical drawings for construction purposes.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership in resolving design and constructability issues.
• Identify schedule and cost savings based on design and modularization.
• Identify early contractor engagement opportunities during design phase.
• Organize cross-discipline evaluation of electrical scope and sequencing.
• Identify risks for long lead activities and align with schedules.
• Develop and review construction bid packages for contractor awards.
• Coordinate across stakeholders for full scope WBS development.
• Assist reviews of VDR submittals for constructability impacts.
