Job summary

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is seeking a Mechanical Assembler in New Jersey. The role offers $21.00 per hour with eligibility for a variable incentive program. Hours are 6:30AM to 2:30PM, with overtime opportunities and comprehensive benefits starting on day one.

The Production Technician will assemble panelboards/switchboards, verify quality, and use hand/power tools. Strong attention to drawings, safety, and teamwork is required, with cross-training across departments encouraged.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of experience in an assembly related role with hand/power tools or completion of a one-year technical diploma.
• Ability to meet location-based geographic requirement (within 50 miles of work location).
• No immigration sponsorship offered for this position.

Responsibilities

• Assemble panelboards and/or switchboards per drawings and work instructions using hand and power tools.
• Inspect and test finished products to ensure quality and compliance with specs.
• Wire electrical assemblies and verify wiring with diagrams and schematics.
• Maintain progress, report part shortages, and prepare items for shipment.
• Participate in Lean and 5S practices; support cross-training across functions.
