Job summary

Eaton's ES AMER ARS division is seeking a Mechanical Assembler. The role involves assembling panelboards and switchboards, inspecting finished products, and wiring sub-assemblies to meet electrical drawings and codes.

You will use hand and power tools, work 6:00 AM–2:30 PM, and participate in Lean initiatives while maintaining safety and quality. Candidates should have at least one year in an assembly role and reside within 50 miles of Glendale Heights, IL.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of assembly experience or completion of a one-year technical school diploma.
• Relocation not offered; candidates must live within 50 miles of the work location.
• No immigration sponsorship or CPT/OPT/H-1B for this role.

Responsibilities

• Assemble panelboards and switchboards per drawings and work instructions using hand/power tools.
• Inspect finished products to ensure quality and code conformance.
• Wire sub-assemblies and perform test preparation and final inspection.
• Maintain 5S and lean initiatives; communicate material shortages and issues.
• Cross-train across functions as needed.
