Job summary

Amteck is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems in industrial settings. You will follow NFPA 70B, NETA standards, and safety programs to maximize uptime while maintaining safety and reliability across power distribution, motors, and controls.

Travel may be required to client sites, and you will document inspections, test results, and corrective actions.

Qualifications

• Five or more years in industrial electrical maintenance is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of electrical theory, power distribution, and industrial installations.
• Experience applying NFPA 70B, NFPA 70E and OSHA guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical preventive maintenance and testing per NFPA 70B, OEM specs, and NETA.
• Identify abnormal heat with infrared thermography and detect electrical faults.
• Inspect components, wiring, and connections for wear or damage.
• Service electrical equipment to ensure performance and longevity.
• Test power distribution, controls, and motors for proper function.
• Assess operating environments to mitigate maintenance risks.
• Follow lockout/tagout, arc-flash safety, and review arc-flash studies.
• Support EHS initiatives and enforce safe work practices.
• Document inspections, test results, and corrective actions clearly.
• Proactively identify issues to minimize downtime and costs.
• Communicate with customers, supervisors, and team about conditions.
• Enforce safety programs and site-specific safety requirements.
