Job summary

Smurfit WestRock is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician at our North Tonawanda facility. You will maintain electrical/electronic, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, troubleshoot, and perform preventive maintenance to keep line speeds up and products on spec.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, PLC programming knowledge, and a safety-focused approach. Shift options include 2nd and 3rd, with overtime as needed and competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Electrical background and PLC programming knowledge preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical/electronic, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Computer experience and PLC programming ability required.

Responsibilities

• Install, start up and shut down equipment following safety procedures.
• Inform management and line mechanics of potential problems and hazards.
• Maintain performance and maintenance records for identified equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance and assist with technical troubleshooting.
