Smurfit WestRock in Lancaster, PA is hiring an Industrial Maintenance Technician for the 2nd shift (3pm-11pm). The role focuses on troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and repairing motors, drives, and PLC-controlled equipment to keep operations running smoothly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Strong electrical background with motor/drive troubleshooting.
• Ability to read European and U.S. electrical schematics.
• Experience with PLC troubleshooting and programming is expected.
• Mechanical repair experience with bearings, gears, belts, and pneumatics.
• Willingness to operate in a continuous-run environment with safety focus.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to quickly restore equipment performance.
• Interpret European and U.S. electrical schematics to diagnose issues and guide repairs.
• Repair AC/DC motors, drives, servo systems, and PLC-controlled equipment to maintain reliable operations.
• Perform preventive maintenance to reduce downtime, including inspections, lubrication, part replacement, and calibration.
• Maintain accurate daily, weekly, and monthly records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.
• Collaborate with maintenance leadership and team members to complete repairs safely and efficiently.
• Support continuous improvement by identifying root causes, recommending solutions, and enhancing equipment reliability.
• Uphold Smurfit WestRock’s values of safety, loyalty, integrity, and respect in all work performed.
