Job summary

Smurfit Westrock in Greer, SC is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the 2nd shift to install, troubleshoot and repair plant machinery. You will perform preventive maintenance, read schematics, and collaborate with the maintenance crew to keep equipment running reliably.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of related experience and/or training.
Experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to read electrical schematics.
Ability to read mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Corrugated experience preferred.
Electrical license or Journeyman license preferred.

Responsibilities

Install, troubleshoot, repair mechanical systems of plant/production machinery.
Inspect equipment and perform regular PMs to prevent downtime.
Read schematics and troubleshoot pneumatic, hydraulic systems, PLCs, and motors.
Maintain accurate paperwork per company guidelines.
Work with maintenance crew on mechanical, fabrication, plumbing and welding tasks.
Ensure safety and regulatory compliance (OSHA) and housekeeping.
Maintain organized, clean work environment and flexible hours as needed.
