Altria Client Services LLC in Richmond, VA, seeks an Electrical Maintenance Unit Leader (Supervisor) to lead a team in our Manufacturing Center. You’ll manage staffing, develop teams, mentor staff, and coordinate maintenance activities to meet schedules while driving continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or four-year state approved apprenticeship and at least three years relevant leadership experience.
• Electrical maintenance experience is required.
• Supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment preferred; familiarity with Quality Systems/ Lean Principles.
• Ability to coach and lead employees in a team-based environment.
• Ability to balance multiple priorities and make independent judgments under time constraints.
• Open to working 2nd or 3rd shifts.

Responsibilities

• Manage resources and staffing levels within the unit to meet production, compliance, team and project objectives or goals.
• Develop and sustain problem solving, continuous improvement and decision-making skills within the team.
• Mentor teams for performance improvement and administer rewards, recognition, and consequences as appropriate.
• Develop and monitor key measures linking unit performance to factory objectives.
• Coordinate troubleshooting, equipment maintenance, and planned maintenance activities to meet schedules.
• Develop and share meaningful information to support problem solving and process improvement efforts.
