Job summary

Altria is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer II (Electrical) for our Richmond, VA facility. You will lead processing projects, provide electrical engineering services, and partner with in-house electricians, maintenance staff, and OEMs to drive reliable operations.

You will manage capital projects ($1–$5 million annual scope), mentor technicians, and ensure alignment with safety, quality, and efficiency objectives in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field is required.
• Minimum 5+ years proven engineering/manufacturing experience.
• Experience with DCS controls and systems in a processing facility.
• Strong communication and leadership skills with experience leading technical projects and presenting scope, timelines, and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Independently lead and apply technical practices for processing operations.
• Provide electrical engineering services for processing equipment with in-house electricians, maintenance support, and OEM resources.
• Manage capital projects with scope and budgets of $1–$5 million annually.
• Mentor and develop technical talent in the department.
• Prioritize resources and manage multi-functional projects within budget guidelines.
