Job summary

nVent in Houston, TX is seeking an Electrician Lead to oversee day-to-day electrical work in our facility, coordinate repairs, maintenance and project tasks, and ensure compliance with NEC and safety standards.

You will mentor the Electrical Shop and Team, review work, and drive process improvements while delivering reliable production support.

The role requires a Texas electrician license, PLC familiarity, and ability to work with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Valid Electrician license in Texas.
• Experience supervising electricians, apprentices, and subcontractors.
• Exceptional knowledge of electrical systems, circuitry, and equipment.
• PLC certified or ability to troubleshoot, program and install PLC components.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with decisive problem solving.
• Ability to plan, estimate materials, and manage electrical projects end to end.
• Willingness to work overtime or on-call rotations as required.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations, lockout/tagout, and OSHA standards.

Responsibilities

• Respond professionally to customer concerns, repairs and installations.
• Perform electrical work: preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.
• Assist in integration, start-up, and debugging of equipment.
• Maintain accurate repair/modification documentation and files.
