Job summary

nVent seeks a seasoned Project Manager to oversee engineering-driven projects from concept to delivery, coordinating CAD/Structural design with a focus on electrical packages and customer requirements.

You will lead cross-functional teams, manage change orders, and ensure NEC compliance while aligning schedules with procurement and production. This hybrid role favors those with strong leadership and multitasking abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience preferred.
• Electrical experience or project management on industrial electrical projects.
• Knowledge of NEC and electrical schematics.
• Experience with electrical distribution & controls or automation.
• Switchgear experience with low/medium voltage.
• Familiarity with SolidWorks.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Experience in manufacturing related to transmission & distribution, oil & gas, or sheet metal design.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a portfolio of projects from inception to post-delivery.
• Coordinate design packages and verify design feasibility.
• Lead CAD and Structural Design Engineers.
• Develop Electrical Design Packages with the Lead Electrical Engineer.
• Manage change orders and issue precise redlines to CAD teams.
• Facilitate quality control checklists before production starts.
• Monitor lead times and delivery schedules with purchasing.
• Provide regular schedule updates to customers, including delays.
• Coordinate production, delivery, and transportation with site teams.
• Serve as the primary customer liaison for post-delivery service issues.
• Track and close service tickets with timely support.
• Support finance on accounts and purchase orders.
