Job summary

Mortenson is seeking a Licensed Electrical Journeyman to provide skilled craftsmanship for maintenance and installation of electrical systems.

You will assemble, install, test, and maintain wiring, motors, transformers, lighting, and related components, reading plans and work orders to determine requirements.

The position offers competitive pay in Colorado with a base hourly range of $45–$55 plus benefits including health, dental, 401k, PTO and tuition assistance; sponsorship is not offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum two years of related experience.
• Trade or technical school certification/diploma.
• Apprentice aptitude test required.
• Union-specific training and Mortenson training preferred.
• Current driver’s license and ability to read plans.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical wiring, equipment, appliances, and fixtures using hand and power tools.
• Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
• Test electrical systems for safety and continuity with voltmeters and oscilloscopes.
• Install, repair, and maintain motors, transformers, and other electrical equipment per codes.
• Study plans and work orders to determine requirements and sequence of repairs or installations.
• Maintain safe work environment and keep area organized; follow codes and procedures.
