Mortenson seeks an Electrical Journeyman to provide skilled electrical installation and maintenance on project sites. You will read plans, install and test wiring, and ensure code compliance while maintaining a safe, productive work environment.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or GED, at least two years of related experience, and a trade certification. A valid driver's license is required, with union or Mortenson training as applicable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum two years of related experience.
• Trade or technical school certification/diploma required.
• Current driver's license required.
• Ability to read plans and read English; strong safety awareness.
• Union or Mortenson training as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical wiring and fixtures with hand tools and power tools.
• Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
• Test electrical systems and continuity with meters to ensure safety.
• Install, repair, and maintain motors, transformers, generators, lights, and related equipment per codes.
• Study plans and work orders to determine requirements and sequence.
• Repair and maintain high voltage systems.
• Read prints, layout work, and install new service.
• Maintain electrical systems by testing and preventive maintenance.
