Job summary

The Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer at Hargrove Engineers & Constructors in Beaumont, TX, designs electrical and instrumentation systems for projects of varying size under general supervision.

You will produce calculations, sketches, and installation specifications, check vendor drawings, and collaborate with design leaders to ensure constructability, safety, and on-time delivery, including fieldwork and startup support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university is required.
• Professional Engineering registration is highly preferred.
• Requires 3+ years of relevant industrial experience in electrical and instrumentation engineering.
• Knowledge and application of the current version of the NEC (National Electrical Code).

Responsibilities

• Familiarity with department design and drafting standards.
• Produce design calculations and sketches for electrical/instrumentation components.
• Check vendor drawings for electrical/instrumentation input.
• Perform fieldwork to gather data and support construction.
• Provide technical guidance to junior drafters/engineers.
• Develop construction specifications and installation documents.
• Review and check calculations for conformance to codes and standards.
• Coordinate with design leaders to ensure timely project completion.
