Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Applicant shall qualify by meeting the requirements for examination for electrical inspector licensure within three (3) months of date of hire.
• Electrical: three (3) years of journeyman or foreman experience.
• Substitutions allowed for journeyman/foreman experience per NM rules.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
• No substitution for required education.
• Must pass pre-employment background and driving record checks.

Responsibilities

• Inspect industrial, commercial, and residential buildings during construction and remodeling.
• Analyze changes of use or occupancy and recommend compliance options.
• Determine permits required and assess damage and safety factors.
• Conduct inspections to ensure codes and ordinances are followed.
• Prepare inspection reports and maintain files of permits and citations.
• Coordinate and schedule inspection requests regarding permits.
• Provide quality customer service.
