Job summary

SPX Technologies is hiring for an Assembly role in our Electric Heat division, focusing on assembling heater unit components and wiring per engineering specifications. The candidate will work on schematics, follow blueprints, and participate in quality checks in a loud, high-energy manufacturing setting.

Ideal applicants bring basic mechanical aptitude, readiness to learn, and a GED or high school diploma. Prior experience is valued but not strictly required, with on-the-job training provided.

Qualifications

• One to three months related experience and/or training.
• Certification in ASME brazing procedures (BPS-B1 to BPS-B5) preferred.
• High school diploma or GED is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lay out diagram for electrical installations according to wiring specifications.
• Drill and tap holes for mounting control units.
• Attach breakers, relays, connectors, bus bars, transformers, and insulators.
• Hydro test per specification.
• Paint product as necessary.
• Install and wire Thermostats and other options.
• Fabricate bussing, and solder connections.
• Test and adjust electrical components.
• Discuss errors in diagrams or production order with supervision or engineering to clarify assembly problems.
