Job summary

Under general supervision, MARTA maintenance supervisors oversee staff in the maintenance, repair, and installation of traction, auxiliary, and emergency power systems, as well as electrical distribution and lighting. They coordinate daily operations, monitor performance and provide direct technical support to work teams.

They also manage maintenance checks, inventory and may coordinate with outside contractors to ensure quality service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an electrical/electronic training program with six years of electrical maintenance experience on HV AC/DC systems.

Responsibilities

• Assigns work to and supervises maintenance staff involved in traction, auxiliary, and emergency power systems, electrical distribution equipment and lighting.
• Coordinates daily operation, monitors performance and provides direct technical assistance to teams.
• Makes maintenance checks, tracks inventory and may coordinate external contractor work and services.
• Maintains records and ensures compliance with policies and union guidelines.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
