MetroPower, Inc. in Alabama is seeking a Foreman 1 to oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems on construction sites.

You will lead field crews, ensure work meets project specs, codes, and safety standards, and coordinate with project managers and engineers. This role requires 3–5 years of electrical construction supervisory experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (or equivalent) required.
• Technical degree in a relevant field preferred; (Equivalent combination of technical training and/or related experience can substitute)
• 3-5 years of electrical construction experience; in a supervisory capacity preferred
• Valid Driver's License and insured personal transportation required

Responsabilités

• Supervise and coordinate daily job site activities to ensure project milestones, quality standards, and safety protocols are met
• Help guide and direct electrical crews, assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and providing on-the-job guidance to ensure productivity and adherence to project plans
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to interpret drawings, clarify scope, and communicate project requirements effectively to the field team
• Oversee the installation, modification, and repair of electrical systems in commercial, industrial, or construction settings
• Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical documents to ensure proper installation and code compliance
• Troubleshoot complex electrical issues and recommend effective solutions to minimize downtime and rework
• Maintain proper documentation of job progress, material usage, safety incidents, and inspections
• Mentor and train apprentices and junior electricians
• Foster clear communication between field personnel, subcontractors, and office staff to align goals and resolve issues promptly
• Support workforce planning by identifying staffing needs and contributing to crew scheduling
• Pre-plan and identify the methods to eliminate hazards daily by work task.
• Execute skill in observing habits and hazards of others and bringing it to their attention.
• Uphold safety as the most important goal of our company. Support goal of achieving zero accidents.
• Promote and encourage open communication between field and office regarding all safety concerns, suggestions, improvements, and PPE needed.
• Obtain safety training as expected by all company personnel.
