Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a two-year diesel/automotive program or closely related maintenance training required.
• One year of work experience in automotive or heavy-duty vehicle maintenance; or three+ years in lieu of formal training.

Responsibilities

• Removes defective bus components and installs new or overhauled parts.
• Performs visual and auditory inspections using tools to diagnose mechanical, electrical, brake, transmission, and pneumatic systems.
• Performs road service on-site to repair buses.
• Records all repair information on inspection forms.
• Assists in guiding other employees on methods and procedures.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
