Job summary

Amteck is hiring an Electrical Foreman for a new construction project in Atlanta, GA. The Foreman Electrician leads a crew of Helpers, Apprentices, and Journeyman electricians, overseeing installation, alteration and repair of electrical systems while training and evaluating the crew.

Responsibilities include mentoring on-site, ensuring work quality meets high standards, developing manpower schedules, and coordinating material lists with supervision.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of electrical construction experience.
• Ability to lead, mentor and coach teams of roughly five Helpers, Apprentices and Journeyman Electricians.
• Reads and understands project specs, blueprints and schematics.
• Develops manpower schedules for the crew.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Journeyman, Helpers and Apprentices on the job site.
• Ensure quality of work to the highest standards.
• Develop an effective manpower schedule for the team.
• Develop material lists from layouts and communicate to supervision.
• Help achieve production and budget goals by clear communication.
• Ensure all work complies with NEC guidelines.
• Install and terminate electrical devices, fixtures and panels.
• Read and understand project specifications and blueprints.
• Layout work from drawings and underground plans.
• Troubleshoot lighting and power circuits.
