Job summary

Comfort Systems USA Foreman Electrician role on commercial/industrial sites overseeing a crew of Helpers, Apprentices and Journeyman electricians. You will lead, train and evaluate performance while ensuring work quality and safety on site.

You will read project specs and blueprints, develop material lists, and manage conduit/wiring installations, coordinating with supervision to meet schedules and budgets. Weekend/overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of electrical construction experience in commercial/industrial environments.
• Ability to lead a crew of roughly five Helpers, Apprentices and Journeyman Electricians.
• Strong reading of blueprints, schematics and project specifications.
• Willingness to work weekends and overtime.
• Adept at coordinating with supervision and other trades on site.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Journeyman, Helpers and Apprentices on the job site
• Work alongside their crew and ensure quality of work to the highest standards
• Assist in the development of an effective manpower schedule for their team
• Develop material lists from layouts, area prints, and job site demands and communicate lists to supervision
• Help achieve production and budget goals by understanding what needs to be done and communicate that to the team
• Ensure all work done by crew complies with local and NEC guidelines
• Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install electrical conduit using measuring devices and tools
• Install and terminate electrical devices, fixtures, panel boards and feeders
• Read and understand project specifications, blueprints, and schematics
• Lay out small areas of work from electrical drawings and project documents
• Determine wire, conduit, and junction box sizing
• Perform basic troubleshooting of lighting and general power circuits
