Job summary

Amteck seeks a Foreman Electrician to guide a crew on commercial/industrial electrical work. You will lead Journeymen, Apprentices and Helpers, manage layouts, materials, and schedules, and ensure work meets NEC and project specs.

You will develop crews, mentor staff, and coordinate with supervision to hit production and budget targets while maintaining high safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of electrical construction experience in commercial/industrial settings.
• Proven leadership with ability to grow as a team lead.
• Able to lead a crew of five Helpers, Apprentices and Journeyman Electricians.
• Understands a small, assigned scope and knows when to escalate.
• Communicates with other trades and trade supervisors effectively.
• Reads and understands project specs, blueprints and schematics.
• Learns to read basic construction docs from other trades.
• Knowledge of scheduling and construction progress tracking.
• Demonstrates customer relationship awareness and satisfaction focus.
• Willing to participate in field training (OJT, classroom, or virtual).

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Journeyman, Helpers and Apprentices on site.
• Work with crew to ensure top quality work.
• Develop manpower schedules for the team.
• Create material lists from layouts and job demands; relay to supervision.
• Help meet production and budget goals by clear team communication.
• Ensure crew work aligns with local codes and NEC guidelines.
• Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install conduit.
• Install and terminate electrical devices, panels, and feeders.
• Demonstrate working knowledge of circuitry.
• Read project specs, blueprints and schematics.
• Layout small areas from drawings, including underground.
• Determine wire, conduit, and junction box sizing.
• Troubleshoot lighting and power circuits as needed.
