Job summary

Comfort Systems USA is seeking a Foreman Electrician to lead a crew of Helpers, Apprentices and Journeyman electricians on commercial/industrial electrical projects in the United States. You will supervise on-site installation, alteration and repair of electrical systems, mentor staff, read blueprints and project specs, and ensure work meets NEC guidelines and safety standards.

The role requires strong leadership, scheduling, material planning, and the ability to coordinate with multiple trades

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of electrical construction experience
• Ability to lead and coach teams of ~5
• Reading blueprints and contract-related documents
• Thorough understanding of NEC guidelines and local codes
• Experience in developing manpower schedules
• Strong communication with trades and supervision

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Journeyman, Helpers and Apprentices on the job site
• Work alongside the crew and ensure high-quality work
• Develop an effective manpower schedule for the team
• Create material lists from layouts and communicate to supervision
• Support production and budget goals through task planning
• Ensure all crew work complies with local and NEC guidelines
• Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install conduit
• Install and terminate electrical devices, fixtures and panels
• Demonstrate knowledge of circuitry
• Read project specs, blueprints and schematics
• Lay out small work areas from drawings, including underground
• Determine wire, conduit and junction box sizing
• Troubleshoot lighting and general power circuits
