Job summary

Comfort Systems USA is seeking an experienced Foreman Electrician to lead a crew of Journeymen, Apprentices and Helpers on commercial/industrial projects. You will oversee installation, alteration and repair work while training and evaluating your team.

Responsibilities include mentoring on site, ensuring quality, coordinating materials, reading blueprints, complying with NEC and schedule, and driving safety and efficiency on large jobs.

Qualifications

• Leadership abilities with the capability to grow the team.
• Ability to lead, mentor and coach five-person crews.
• Strong communication with other trades and supervision.
• Ability to read blueprints and understand project docs.
• Experience interpreting construction schedules and specs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Journeyman, Helpers and Apprentices on site.
• Ensure quality of work to the highest standards.
• Develop manpower schedules for the team.
• Create material lists from layouts and communicate to supervision.
• Meet production and budget goals; understand what needs doing and direct the crew.
• Ensure work complies with local codes and NEC.
• Install/terminate conduit, devices and panels; read schematics.
• Read project specs and blueprints; lay out work from drawings.
• Determine wire, conduit and box sizing; perform basic troubleshooting.
