Job summary

Comfort Systems USA is seeking a Foreman Electrician in Lynchburg, VA to oversee a crew of Helpers, Apprentices, and Journeyman electricians on commercial/industrial projects. You will install, alter, and repair electrical systems while leading and mentoring your team.

You will read blueprints, develop material lists, schedule work, ensure NEC and local code compliance, and coordinate with supervision to meet production and budget goals. Weekend/overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of electrical construction experience in commercial/industrial settings.
• Proven leadership ability to coach a team of five Electricians.
• Strong understanding of blueprints and project documents.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and perform layout from specifications.
• Willingness to work weekends and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Journeymen, Helpers and Apprentices on site.
• Develop manpower schedules for the team.
• Estimate materials and communicate lists to supervision.
• Install and terminate electrical devices and conduits.
• Ensure work complies with NEC and local codes.
• Read project specs and blueprints.
• Meet production and budget goals.
• Demonstrate knowledge of circuitry.
• Coordinate with other trades and supervisors.
