Job summary

Comfort Systems USA is seeking a Foreman Electrician to lead a crew on commercial/industrial projects in Fredericksburg, VA. You will supervise Journeymen, Apprentices and Helpers, install and repair electrical systems, and mentor the team for high-quality work.

Reading blueprints and specs, developing material lists, and coordinating with other trades are essential. Strong leadership, hands-on skills, and NEC knowledge are required for success on site.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of electrical construction experience in commercial/industrial settings.
• Proven leadership with ability to mentor a crew of five Helpers, Apprentices and Journeyman.
• Strong reading of blueprints, specs, and schematics.
• Good communication with other trades and supervision.
• Ability to understand project schedules and budgets.
• Safety-minded and able to work overtime including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Journeyman, Helpers and Apprentices on the job site.
• Ensure quality of work to high standards.
• Develop manpower schedules for the team.
• Prepare material lists from layouts and job site demands.
• Meet production and budget goals by guiding the crew.
• Ensure all work complies with local codes and NEC.
• Measure, cut, bend, and install conduit.
• Install and terminate electrical devices and panels.
• Interpret project specs, blueprints, and schematics.
• Read layouts including underground work.
• Determine wire/conduit/junction box sizing.
• Troubleshoot lighting and power circuits.
