Job summary

Amteck is seeking an Electrical Foreman for a new construction project. You will oversee a crew of Journeymen, Apprentices and Helpers, leading installation, alteration and repair of electrical systems while maintaining high quality and safety standards on site.

You will read blueprints and project specs, develop material lists, and coordinate with supervision to meet production and budget goals. Weekend/overtime work may be required to keep projects on schedule.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of electrical construction experience in commercial/industrial settings.
• Ability to lead and coach teams of about five Helpers, Apprentices and Journeyman Electricians.
• Thorough understanding of a small, assigned scope of work and safe practices.
• Strong communication with other trades and supervisors; reading blueprints.
• Willingness to work weekends and overtime as needed; safety-minded.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Journeyman, Helpers and Apprentices on the job site.
• Work with crew to ensure quality of work to the highest standards.
• Assist in developing manpower schedules for the team.
• Develop material lists from layouts, area prints, and job-site demands.
• Communicate lists to supervision to support production and budgets.
• Ensure all work complies with local codes and NEC guidelines.
• Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install electrical conduit.
• Install and terminate electrical devices, fixtures and panels.
• Read project specifications, blueprints and schematics.
