Job summary

Amteck is seeking an experienced Foreman Electrician to lead a crew of Helpers, Apprentices, and Journeyman electricians on commercial/industrial electrical projects. You will oversee installation, modification, and repair of electrical systems while training and evaluating your team.

You will develop manpower schedules, read blueprints, and ensure work meets NEC and local standards. Strong leadership and field layout skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of electrical construction experience in commercial/industrial environments.
• Able to lead, mentor, and coach a team of roughly five Helpers, Apprentices and Journeyman Electricians.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Journeyman, Helpers and Apprentices on the job site.
• Work alongside the crew and ensure the quality of work to the highest standards.
• Develop an effective manpower schedule for the team.
• Develop material lists from layouts, area prints and job site demands and communicate them to supervision.
• Help achieve production and budget goals by understanding tasks and communicating priorities to the crew.
• Ensure all work by the crew complies with local and NEC guidelines.
• Perform field layout using Trimble equipment and software.
• Read and understand project specifications, blueprints, and schematics.
• Lay out small work areas from electrical drawings and project documents, including underground layout.
• Demonstrate a working knowledge of circuitry and install/terminate devices, fixtures, and panels.
• Possess basic mechanical aptitude and the ability to read construction documents.
