Job summary

Amteck seeks an experienced Foreman Electrician to lead a crew on electrical construction projects. You will guide Journeymen, Apprentices and Helpers, ensuring quality and adherence to NEC and local codes.

You’ll develop material lists, schedules, and communicate effectively with supervision and other trades, while applying Trimble-based field layouts. Responsibilities include reading blueprints, project specs, and performing conduit work, wiring, and device installations with a focus on safety

Qualifications

• Demonstrates leadership abilities to grow as a team lead.
• Able to lead, mentor and coach teams of five Helpers, Apprentices and Journeyman Electricians.
• Understands a small, assigned scope of work.
• Recognizes work outside of assigned scope and communicates it.
• Communicates with other trades and negotiates with trade supervisors.
• Reading blueprints and contract documents; follows project specs.
• Learns to read construction layouts and underground layouts.
• Familiar with Trimble, BlueBeam and Navisworks for project plans.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Journeyman, Helpers and Apprentices on site.
• Work with crew to ensure high quality of work.
• Develop manpower schedules for the team.
• Create material lists from layouts and communicate to supervision.
• Help meet production and budget goals by clear task communication.
• Ensure work complies with local and NEC guidelines.
• Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install conduit.
• Install and terminate electrical devices and panels.
• Demonstrate working knowledge of circuitry.
• Read project specifications, blueprints and schematics.
