Job summary

The Foreman Electrician role at Comfort Systems USA, Inc. targets an experienced leader to oversee a crew on electrical construction projects in the Charleston area. You will mentor Journeymen, Apprentices and Helpers while aligning work with project specs and NEC guidelines.

You will develop material lists, coordinate layouts with supervision, and drive on-site safety and quality standards to meet production and budget goals.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of electrical construction experience in commercial/industrial settings.
• Ability to lead, mentor and coach teams of ~5 Helpers, Apprentices and Journeyman Electricians.
• Strong understanding of blueprints, specs, and project documents.
• Proven leadership under project schedules and safety requirements.
• Experience with field layout using Trimble equipment/software.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Journeyman, Helpers and Apprentices on the job site.
• Work alongside crew to ensure highest quality of work.
• Develop manpower schedules for the team.
• Create material lists from layouts and communicate to supervision.
• Assist in meeting production and budget goals and coordinate with supervision.
• Ensure all work complies with local codes and NEC guidelines.
• Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble, and install conduit and devices.
• Read project specs, blueprints, and schematics.
