Compass Resourcing Group, LLC is seeking a Field Service Specialist to support an industry leader in high voltage electrical services, testing, maintenance, and repair across Maryland, DC, and Northern Virginia markets. The role involves on-site electrical testing, preventative maintenance, commissioning, upgrades, and repairs at diverse facilities, with about 20% overnight travel for nationwide projects or training.

Requires a HS diploma or GED; electrical/electronic tech background preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires HS diploma or GED; degree in Electrical/Electronic Technology preferred.
• Experience in electrical substation testing or maintenance preferred.
• Willing to travel overnight up to 20% annually.
• Must pass pre-employment background and drug tests; valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Assist in executing mechanical and electrical tasks on equipment used in power transmission, distribution, and generation at customer facilities.
• Read manuals, schematics, and diagrams to troubleshoot and solve equipment problems.
• Troubleshoot, repair, replace, and clean all components in a substation.
• Assist in transformer, cable, and circuit breaker testing tasks as described.
• Participate in installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical equipment and attend safety training.
