Job summary

Powell is seeking Field Service Technicians to ensure safe, high-quality operation of Powell equipment across the US and Canada. You will perform installations, preventative and corrective maintenance, and support field teams with testing and commissioning.

The role requires travel up to 85% and offers company vehicle, standard tooling, laptop, phone compensation, and expense card, with safety and training provided. Strong problem-solving and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Two+ years as a shop/field electrical/breaker technician.
• Basic knowledge of ANSI IEEE C37 standards applicable to breakers and switchgear.
• Basic knowledge of ANSI IEEE device function numbers and ampacities.
• Ability to write accurate test reports and project summaries; explain anomalies.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Powell's safety and quality standards.
• Complete site documentation (time sheets, service/repair orders, materials used, reports).
• Provide regular communication with Field Operations Scheduler and District Service Manager.
• Maintain flexible hours; travel up to 85% of the year.
• Coordinate with project management, customers, vendors, and labor support.
• Support manufacturing group with installation, wiring, testing.
