Job summary

Industrial Electric Manufacturing (IEM) is seeking a Field Service Technician to support start-up, commissioning, installation, testing, and troubleshooting of IEM equipment. This role offers hands-on learning, comprehensive training, and opportunities to grow within a field service career path.

The ideal candidate has an associate degree or equivalent training, 0–2 years of electrical/technical experience, and strong problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

Associate degree or relevant training in power distribution systems preferred.
0–2 years related electrical, mechanical, technical, manufacturing, or field service experience preferred.
Ability to read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams, work instructions, and technical documentation.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills are required.
Ability to travel up to 75% to customer sites and field offices.

Responsibilities

Assist start-up and commissioning of switchboards, control panels, and power products under supervision.
Assist with installation and modification of electrical or mechanical components and subassemblies.
Perform basic testing of modified assemblies per procedures and guidance.
Assist with basic troubleshooting of electrical circuits and networking equipment.
Identify and escalate issues to Field Service Leads, PMs, or management as appropriate.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
