Job summary

Shermco Industries, Inc. is seeking a Field Service Technician - Electrical Testing to perform electrical testing, maintenance, and repair on distribution systems at customer sites. This role requires local and regional travel and adherence to safety standards.

Responsibilities include testing instrument transformers, power transformers, relays, switchgear, and data collection. Candidates should have 2+ years of relevant experience and NETA certification or equivalent; Excel skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Must have 2+ years of experience performing switchgear testing & troubleshooting.
• NETA Certification (I, II, III or IV) or equivalent desired.
• ABET-accredited degree in EPC or EE, or military training in electrical power production.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites to inspect, test, troubleshoot and collect data on low to high voltage systems.
• Perform tests on instrument transformers, power transformers, relays, and relays calibration.
• Test switchgear, circuit breakers, and perform on-call duties during emergencies.
• Ensure safety procedures are followed and maintain good driving record.
