Shermco Industries in Denver seeks a Field Service Technician - Electrical Testing to perform on-site electrical testing, maintenance, and repair on distribution systems. You will work with a team to ensure safe, efficient, high-quality results and support customer projects across varying voltage levels.

Qualifications

• Two+ years of experience in switchgear testing & troubleshooting.
• ABET/ABET-equivalent EPC degree or EE degree; NETA certification desired.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites to inspect and test electrical distribution systems.
• Perform instrument transformer tests and power transformer testing (Doble, TTR, insulation resistance).
• Test both electro-mechanical and solid state relays; perform cable tests (Tan Delta, Power Factor, VLF, DC Hipot).
• Troubleshoot automatic transfer switches and high/low voltage switchgear/circuit breakers.
• Rotate emergency on-call duty and respond to customer emergencies promptly.
• Maintain safety procedures and adhere to electrical safety standards.
