Job summary

Eaton’s North America Sales division is seeking an Area Sales Manager in Greenville, SC or Columbia, SC. Relocation assistance available for candidates outside 50 miles of these cities. The role focuses on growing the customer base, guiding applications, and delivering value-added upgrades while maintaining strong margins.

Travel up to 25% and close collaboration with distributors and engineers are essential. You will prepare bids, analyze market trends, and provide timely reports to management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum seven (7) years electrical industry sales/marketing and/or engineering experience.
• Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver’s license.
• Ability to travel 25% of the time.
• Eaton will not sponsor immigration for this position.

Responsibilities

• Manage the assigned customer base to increase sales in the local marketplace.
• Provide application guidance and technical assistance to assigned customers.
• Develop and implement sales strategies designed to stress value-added upgrades while achieving maximum profit margin and ensuring optimum levels of customer satisfaction.
• Promote, develop and maintain close working relationships with client representatives responsible for making purchasing decisions.
• Coordinate and make presentations to influence customers of the benefits of Eaton’s products and solutions.
• Develop, grow, and maintain relationships with Eaton employees, engineers, distributors, and customers.
