Job summary

TIC - The Industrial Company seeks a Lead on a construction/industrial site to supervise crews, coordinate resources, and ensure safety and quality per project plans. The role requires directing daily activities, monitoring progress, and enforcing company safety rules.

You will work with superintendents and project management to optimize productivity while staying within budget, delivering outcomes that meet specifications and timelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with field experience.
• Thorough knowledge to supervise craft workers under supervision.
• Plan tasks safely and train on safety practices and procedures.
• Understand scheduling, material control and unit manhour performance.
• Transmit written and oral instructions clearly to crew.
• Be a good communicator, motivator and team player.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Superintendent and Project Management to organize crew, materials and equipment.
• Inspect work progress, equipment and sites to verify safety and specs.
• Maintain reporting records: quantities, productivity, time sheets, reports.
• Assist in developing a weekly schedule and sequencing of activities.
• Ensure timely completion within estimated costs while upholding quality.
• Ensure crew safety and compliance with safety rules.
• Lead toolbox meetings and communicate safety concerns, work scope, plans and schedules.
• Monitor compliance with company policies.
• Adjust work or schedule as required.
• Prioritize workload within defined budget.
