Job summary

Bechtel is seeking a Project Field Engineer (On-Site) in Port Arthur, TX, to provide field engineering specialization across work planning, material management, quantity verification, safety and quality control, testing, and subcontract coordination for LNG infrastructure.

You will ensure field activities meet design, safety, and regulatory standards, coordinating with engineering and construction teams to drive safe, complete, and compliant turnover of project scopes.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years or 12-14 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with NEC, NETA, electrical safety practices (LO/TO), and energizing low- to medium-voltage systems.
• Experience on the U.S. Gulf Coast preferred; ability to obtain TWIC.

Responsibilities

• Supports lead discipline engineer to coordinate technical resolution and compliance with drawings and codes.
• Coordinates across disciplines to provide timely information for Construction teams.
• Verifies compliance with permit and license requirements.
• Performs field verification of installed commodities.
• Issues punch lists for deficient or defective works and manages NCRs.
• Assists in interpretation of design drawings and installation details.
• Interfaces with Resident Engineering for clarifications; raises Field Change Documents.
• Ensures materials and equipment comply with standards and specifications.
• Conducts internal discipline walkdowns for turnover.
