Job summary

Bechtel invites applications for a Project Field Engineer role in Port Arthur, TX, supporting LNG infrastructure development. You will plan work packages, manage materials, verify quantities, and ensure safety and quality standards are met on site.

You will collaborate with construction engineers, foremen, and craft professionals, interpreting design and vendor documents while maintaining schedules and turning over systems to the client.

Qualifications

• Experience with rotating and static equipment.
• Familiarity with basic testing and preservations requirements for electrical equipment.
• Familiarity with control valves.
• Familiarity with SmartCompletions is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the preparation of construction drawings, sketches, projections and schedules for workforce, material, and equipment requirements.
• Contributes in planning construction methods and procedures.
• Initiates requisitions for field purchases.
• Prepares quantity takeoffs of field purchased material and equipment.
• Verifies commodities on quantity tracking systems or other computer database systems as required.
• Enforces zero-accident philosophy; ensures safe tools and equipment operation.
• Shows interest in continuous learning and applicable training.
• Supports engineers and foremen in interpreting design and vendor documents.
