Job summary

Bechtel Port Arthur LNG, LLC is seeking a Project Field Engineer to provide field engineering specialization, work planning, material management, quantity verification, safety and quality control, and coordination with subcontractors. Work focuses on LNG project deliverables and site turnover.

The role requires reading design drawings and P&IDs, ensuring compliance with standards, and coordinating with construction teams to safely execute field activities per project requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 8–10 years of relevant experience, or 12–14 years total experience.
• Ability to read and interpret design drawings, project specifications and P&IDs.
• Experience on large-scale Petrochemical projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supports and coordinates across disciplines and with Engineering to provide timely information for Construction teams.
• Verifies compliance with permit and license requirements.
• Performs field verification of installed commodities and issues punch lists for deficient work.
• Generates and verifies punch list items and Non-Conformance Reports.
• Interfaces with Resident Engineering for clarifications and raises Field Change Documents as needed.
• Ensures all materials and equipment on site comply with international standards and specs.
• Performs internal discipline walkdowns to support system turnover and final turnover.
