Structure Resources is looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Estimator for our client, an award-winning electrical design-build contractor specializing in complex commercial, industrial, and mission-critical projects nationwide.
This position can be fully remote, hybrid, or based in the company’s Indianapolis, Denver, or Charlotte office.
Responsibilities:
- Review construction drawings, specifications, and bid documents to determine project scope
- Prepare detailed electrical estimates encompassing labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs
- Complete accurate quantity takeoffs and develop comprehensive bid packages
- Solicit, evaluate, and level vendor and subcontractor proposals
- Identify project risks, scope gaps, value-engineering opportunities, and cost-saving strategies
- Collaborate with preconstruction, engineering, operations, project leadership, and business-development teams
- Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, scope reviews, and estimate turnover meetings
- Manage multiple estimates and deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
- Support projects from initial pursuit through final proposal and handoff to operations
Qualifications:
- Several years of electrical estimating experience with an electrical contractor
- Strong knowledge of electrical construction methods, materials, labor productivity, and applicable codes
- Ability to interpret electrical drawings, specifications, contracts, and bid documents
- Proficiency with electrical estimating and takeoff software
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams
- Experience with large or technically complex electrical projects is strongly preferred
- Data-center experience is valuable but not required
