A nationally recognized, privately held electrical contractor and technology integrator ($1B+ annual revenue) is seeking an Electrical Estimator to support continued growth within its Indianapolis operations. Founded 30 years ago, this organization employs 4,000+ professionals across 40+ offices nationwide and consistently ranks among the top 25 electrical contractors in the U.S. The company works across commercial, mission-critical, healthcare, education, industrial, multifamily, hospitality, and institutional markets.
The Electrical Estimator will play a critical role in supporting project pursuit and preconstruction efforts across a diverse portfolio of commercial and mission-critical electrical projects. This position requires a detail-oriented professional with strong technical estimating capability and the ability to collaborate closely with project management, operations, and leadership teams.
The ideal candidate will have experience preparing accurate, competitive electrical estimates while contributing to long-term business growth in a fast-paced, high-performing environment.
- Prepare detailed electrical estimates for commercial and institutional projects
- Perform quantity take-offs, pricing, and scope reviews from drawings and specifications
- Collaborate with project managers, operations, and leadership during bid reviews
- Develop accurate labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor pricing
- Identify risks, opportunities, and value-engineering options within project scopes
- Support design-build and negotiated work pursuits
- Maintain organized estimating documentation and bid records
- Participate in post-bid reviews and turnover meetings
- 5+ years of electrical estimating experience
- Background in commercial or institutional electrical construction
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, drawings, and specifications
- Proficiency with estimating and industry software (Accubid experience preferred)
- Experience working with Accubid, Conest, Procore, Bluebeam, CMiC, BIM 360, or PlanGrid
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Highly competitive base salary of $100,000 - $130,000 (dependent on experience)
