Diamond Peak Recruiting is seeking a highly experienced Senior Electrical Estimator for a leadership role in a growing electrical contracting firm in the Dallas–Fort Worth area. The ideal candidate will have over 8 years of electrical estimating experience and a strong command of NEC codes.

This position offers a competitive base salary between $150,000 and $200,000, performance bonuses, and comprehensive benefits including medical, 401(k), and paid time off.

Senior Electrical Estimator

About The Opportunity

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Electrical Estimator to join a growing electrical contracting firm serving the commercial and industrial construction markets throughout the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex. This leadership role is responsible for preparing accurate, competitive, and strategic estimates for large‑scale electrical projects while collaborating closely with operations, project management, and executive leadership teams.

The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in commercial and industrial electrical systems, strong analytical skills, and a proven ability to manage complex bid opportunities from conceptual budgeting through final proposal submission.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed electrical estimates for commercial and industrial construction projects ranging from $5M–$100M+.
• Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents to develop comprehensive cost analyses.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and labor calculations for power distribution, lighting, controls, low voltage, and industrial systems.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor pricing.
• Identify value engineering opportunities and cost‑saving alternatives.
• Lead bid strategy meetings and collaborate with operations teams on project execution planning.
• Maintain accurate historical cost databases and estimating benchmarks.
• Participate in client meetings, preconstruction planning, and scope reviews.
• Mentor junior estimators and support department growth initiatives.
• Ensure estimates align with project schedules, labor availability, and market conditions.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of electrical estimating experience within commercial and/or industrial construction.
• Proven experience estimating large‑scale electrical projects.
• Strong understanding of NEC codes, electrical systems, and construction methodologies.
• Proficiency with estimating software such as Accubid, ConEst, Bluebeam, McCormick, or similar platforms.
• Ability to read and interpret complex construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
• Experience working for an electrical contractor or specialty subcontractor preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or related field is preferred but not required.
