Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking an engineer for the Electrical Engineering team to energize equipment safely, troubleshoot issues, meet milestones, and provide commissioning support for critical power systems.

The role involves designing automation systems, analyzing electrical setups, programming PLCs, testing VFD/UPS performance, and supervising installations from concept to start-up on-site in the United States.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field.
• Strong technical experience with PLCs, VFDs, UPS hardware.
• Solid understanding of networking protocols, automation principles and programming languages.
• Expertise in power-system engineering including utility interfacing and protection coordination.

Responsabilidades

• Design industrial automation systems with detailed schematics for networks, PLCs, VFDs and UPS solutions.
• Assess electrical system compatibility with PLC, VFD and UPS equipment and propose safety-focused improvements.
• Develop software for PLCs, VFDs, and UPS monitoring/control.
• Supervise installation, commissioning and start-up of PLC, VFD and UPS systems.
• Diagnose and resolve PLC, VFD, UPS and network issues; plan preventive maintenance.
• Create operating instructions, wiring diagrams, and technical reports for clients and operators.
• Deliver training on PLC, VFD, UPS and network operation and troubleshooting.
• Stay updated on new technologies to keep systems competitive.
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure on-time, on-budget project delivery.
• Serve as Power Systems SME and mentor others in best practices.
