Job summary

ENERCON is seeking a leader to join our team supporting nuclear design across the industry, based in Fort Worth, TX. You will lead a technical electrical engineering unit, mentor engineers, and build strong client relations while ensuring quality and timely delivery.

You will approve designs, manage budgets, and drive professional development. The role involves coordinating with PMs, managing staff, and ensuring compliance with codes and standards in a dynamic energy sector.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
• 6+ years of design engineering experience in power generation or nuclear power; at least 2 years as a group lead or supervisor.
• Professional Engineering License is required.
• Advanced knowledge of applicable codes and standards.
• Excellent writing, presentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to travel up to 10% of the time; travel duration varies by project.
• Ability to obtain unescorted access to a nuclear power plant.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the focal point for initial unit contact to Management, PMs, and other internal constituents; direct work and approve timesheets.
• Maintain responsibility for the unit's quality; enforce quality standards and certify design documents as required by codes.
• Lead proposals with scope and budget input; develop professional relationships with client counterparts.
• Provide timely performance feedback and coaching; promote staff professional development and certifications.
• Support company policies and long-range staffing plans based on projections.
