Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Full-Time Electrical Engineering (ESSP) Intern for our Denver, CO office. This 12-week summer internship is designed for students enrolled in an Undergraduate or Graduate program who want hands-on experience with real projects alongside senior staff.

You will assist in electrical studies and SCADA system tasks for utility and industrial clients, gain familiarity with power systems, protective relaying, and data acquisition, and participate in training and on-site

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in Electrical Engineering undergraduate program with expected graduation Aug 2027 or later.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Interest in electrical utilities and power systems.
• Strong communication and teamwork.
• Ability to travel occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Assist with electrical studies and SCADA system tasks for utility and industrial clients.
• Support power system planning studies and protection-related activities.
• Learn and apply basic relay settings, protection, and compliance work.
• Contribute to engineering analyses, data acquisition, and HMI development.
• Participate in training and on-site commissioning.
