Job summary

WSP USA in Denver, CO offers a full-time Electrical Engineering ESSP Intern position as part of our Summer Internship Program. The 12-week program starts May 17, 2027, with mentorship and exposure to real projects alongside senior staff.

You will assist in electrical studies and the development and troubleshooting of SCADA systems for utility and industrial clients, gaining hands-on experience in power systems, substations, transmission, and protection.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in accredited Electrical Engineering program with graduation Aug 2027 or later.
• Must be 18+ and authorized to work in the United States.
• Willing to travel occasionally and work in a consultant environment.
• Basic proficiency with technical writing, office software, and data/spreadsheet tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist electrical studies and SCADA development or troubleshooting for utility and industrial clients.
• Support power system analyses such as power flow and voltage stability.
• Design and configure networking for SCADA and protection systems; assist with field commissioning.
• Develop logic and control schemes for power system equipment and perform data transfer commissioning.
• Contribute to infrastructure design studies like substation grounding and power quality analysis.
